Yoga in the Garden

Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice which originated in India thousands of years ago. Today, it is seen as a special form of exercise and/or as a relaxation technique. Yoga is extremely popular and offers many benefits to both the body and mind.

The South Coast Botanic Garden is excited to offer “Yoga in the Garden,” a special program that allows participants of differing levels to enjoy yoga in a natural outdoor setting. The special yoga series, “A Path to Prosperity,” will help you deepen your gratitude for life, nature and self. This is achieved through yogic breathing, movement and meditation, all in the beautiful Lower Meadow setting at the South Coast Botanic Garden.

This unique and enlightening series includes:

  • Yoga for Clarity – April 2, 2016
  • Yoga for Regeneration – April 9, 2016
  • Yoga for Guidance – April 16, 2016
  • Yoga for Activation – April 23, 2016
  • Yoga for Awakening – April 30, 2016

Along with yoga, participants can enjoy live music, sound healing and optional aromatherapy.

This great series will take place on April 2nd and continue each Saturday through the end of April from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. All levels are encouraged, from beginners to experts. The cost is $80 for Garden members and $95 for non-members for the entire series. However, you do not have to participate every weekend. Drop-in members will pay $12 each session, while non-members will pay $15.

About the Yoga Instructor

Nicole Fagone is an E-RYT and a highly experienced and certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance and KRI. She has been practicing yoga for 18 years. During her training, Nicole specialized in Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, Hatha/Flow Yoga and Restorative Yoga. She has even studied Kundalini Yoga at the advanced level. Nicole believes that yoga can be a transformational tool for anyone at any age and at any fitness level, and welcomes all level participants to this great event.
